Mission 

To foster the dissemination of knowledge about gynecologic cancer and to stimulate research and collaboration to improve the lives of patients with gynecologic malignancies.

The Heartland Association of Gynecologic Oncology (HAGO) is dedicated to providing relevant and timely educational material, a forum for research presentation and collaboration. By bringing gynecologic cancer providers from the central United States together, HAGO works to advance research, education, and patient care with the shared goal of improving the lives of patients affected by gynecologic cancers.

Purpose

Founded in 2020 with a charter membership of eight physicians, the Heartland Association of Gynecologic Oncologists was established to:

    • Provide a place for gynecologic oncologists in the region to gather, network, and collaborate
    • Offer meaningful leadership experience to junior faculty
    • Provide trainees with opportunity to present research, collaborate and network with other trainees and region leaders
    • Promote the development and sharing of research and educational resources to further improve the care of patients with gynecologic cancer
    • Support education and dissemination of knowledge about gynecologic oncology
